Hello everyone,

How are you all doing? It’s been long since I blogged. I was on my pregnancy and maternity leave but now I promise to blog as much as possible as this is my passion and I want to rediscover it.

Today I’m gonna review about Lakme CC Cream. I haven’t used any CC cream and this is my first time trying out any CC cream. CC stands for COMPLEXION CARE. I got in the shade beige. The most disappointing thing about this product is that it comes in just two shades, one is in beige and the other is bronze. I got in the shade beige which is little light for me but is manageable if I set with the right shade of powder. This CC cream is perfect for everyday use especially when you don’t want full face makeup but still want to look put together and hide those imperfections. It evens out the skin tone and gives a mild dewy look which I loved. Your face looks so natural with this CC cream and the best part about it is it has SPF 30 in it. Before using this product I like to wash my face with a cleanser and moisturize my skin. Then I light massage this cream into my skin for a smooth finish.

Overall I loved this CC cream and it would have been better if they had other shade options. I love to use this as a daily cream and it gives me a flawless look for 4-5 hours which is pretty good for a drugstore product. The packaging is so sleek and sturdy with a well fitted rose gold cap. Its easy to carry which makes it travel friendly. Therefore, its a makeup with little bit of skincare properties.

I highly recommend this cream if you want to try out any CC cream, its affordable and does a great job. Have you ever used this or any other CC cream? Let me know your thoughts on this. Thank you.

Derma-E Charcoal Scrub and Mask | Detox | Review

Skincare is so interesting to me because it’s a way to find out so many different products which keeps my skin balance. Derma-E sent me their Charcoal infused scrub and mask. I have used their products in the past and I absolutely love them and so when I got these to try out I was super excited. I have been feeling really skin for the past couple months and I am recovering and feeling so much better now and so I haven’t used much of skincare because at the end of the day I was just too tired so these products came in the right time as my skin needed some extra little pampering.

Derma-E Purifying Daily Detox Scrub:

Details: This gentle exfoliant lifts away pollutants and impurities. Promoting a fresh and healthy radiance. Marine Algae extracts deliver healthy skin hydration and helps to protect skin from everyday toxins. Activated Charcoal works with the apricot seed powder to remove micro pollutants for a softer and smoother appearance.

I am using this daily scrub every single night and I love how my skin feels after having a dull skin throughout the day. Regular use of this has changed my skin and it feels super smooth and clean. The grains present in it are perfect for scrubbing. I also love this to use on my legs before I shave and this really does  give me a smooth clean shave without making my legs look like strawberry.

Derma-E Charcoal Mask:

This is a charcoal based mask as the name suggests and its great for skin which has lot of impurities, dirt and black/white takes out the entire gunk from your face and leaves your skin feeling clean and smooth. I have also noticed my pore size considerably reducing. This mask is great for oily skin but for dry skin people this mask can make your skin even drier. So I highly recommend using a heavy moisturizer after this mask like to use my Clinique overnight mask as it hydrates my skin completely. Apply on cleansed skin and keep for 5-10 minutes. It dries out pretty soon. Rinse well. This mask works great even for acne. It dried out my acne overnight and within couple of days it was cleared completely. I was completely amazed how this mask works on me.

You can purchase these here.

Have you ever used any skincare product from Derma-E? Which is your favorite skincare product? Thanks for reading!

Influenster Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder #VoxBox

I was so excited with I received this beautiful loose powder from Laura Mercier to try out as I have seen so many people literally raves about this powder. I have been testing this out for almost two weeks now and I already declare this as my favorite powder ever I used. I just cannot stop using this and this has been my go to powder ever since I started using this.

The texture of this powder is so silky, smooth and velvety as it’s finely milled loose powder that just disappears in skin. It keeps my makeup in place throughout the day and also helps minimize oiliness around T-Zone and forehead. It also helps in avoiding the creasing for concealers under eyes. I like to apply my concealer first and just set it with this powder and brush off excess. It looks so natural as the texture feels so feathery and lightweight.  I have this in the shade translucent and barely there is any fragrance in it.  I like to use a tapered brush to apply this powder. Its perfect size and applies right amount. My face looked just as good 9 hours later. I was totally impressed. It contains French “cashmere” talc and a unique light-reflecting ingredient that creates a “soft-focus” appearance for fine lines and imperfections. This gives you a natural sheer look without making you look heavy or cakey.

The powder packaging comes in a plastic container with a brown glossy lid. It looks timeless and classy. It does come with a sifter on top so that you can control how much product you want to use. This powder comes with a Velour Puff from Laura Mercier.

This powder applies beautifully, its long wearing, doesn’t settle into fine lines and pores. I highly recommend it and I guess there is a reason why every beauty guru and beauty magazine is raving about it!

Thank you for taking your time to read. If you are considering a new setting powder, Laura Mercier makes a fantastic one! Have a sweet and wonderful day!

Huda Beauty Lip Contour Set

As I have mentioned earlier that I’m a big fan of liquid lipsticks and I want to try most of the liquid lipstick available in the market, so I’m stocking up slowly and increasing ,u liquid lipostcik collection. Couple of month’s back I got this beautiful set by Huda Beauty from Sephora. It was one of the holiday gift set. This contains a full size lip contour pencil in the shade TRENDSETTER, two deluxe size liquid lipstick in the shade TRENDSETTER and BOMBSHELL. This is a beautiful nude set and I’m just crushing on these. Ever since I got them I have been using and totally love it.

TRENDSETTER (Lip pencil & liquid lipstick) is a gorgeous nude/brown shade which will look flattering on all skin tones but will look different on every skin tone. I love how it looks on my skin and it’s my favorite shade. BOMBSHELL is a subtle pink nude shade which dint suit on my medium skin but with a darker lip liner it works great and also I like to use on top on my dark shades to create the ombre effect.

The formula of the liquid lipsticks are very creamy, not runny nor thick so glides on pretty easily and within few seconds it dries out completely matte. It has great lasting results and stays put for more than 7-8 hours with eating and its transfer proof. It does not settle into the lines and doesn’t feel dry or patchy hence it’s so comfortable to wear. It just feels like there is nothing on my lips too heavy or drying. I always recommend exfoliating or apply a lip balm prior to applying liquid lipstick to prevent any cracking or settling into lines throughout the day.

I use the lip contour pencil with these liquid lipsticks and other nude liquid lipsticks. Also I just like to use this lip pencil on my entire lips. The formula of this lip contour pencil is so creamy and velvety and gives such an opaque finish with a matte look.  Although I love the lip pencil and I wouldn’t pay the full price and but a lip pencil so this set was a great deal.

The packaging of liquid lipsticks comes in a frosted tube like which shows the color of the lipsticks and has vanilla fragrance. I highly recommend these lipsticks. They last all day long and there are so many shades to choose. The mini sets are always great way to try high end lipsticks. Although this limited edition set is sold out.Huda Beauty has now come up with 3 different mini sets with 4 lipsticks in each set so look out for that.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette | Review

I generally don’t stock many eye shadow palettes as I am not a makeup artist and don’t do heavy eye makeup on everyday basis and I have couple of great palettes which are my personal favorite and I use them every time and love them. You can read about them here and here. When I read and saw so much hype about Anastasia Modern Renaissance palette I was not convinced to get due to price and color range because I have similar shades from other palettes. But during the end of the year when Sephora sent me a $20 coupon I knew what I had to purchase and hence got this palette. This palette is originally priced at $42 but I got it for $22.

I am probably the last one to get this palette and now I know why people kept talking about it so much. This palette has beautiful shade selection which will suit all skin tones especially medium skin tones since it has some wonderful transition shade. The palette has mix of metallic and matte shades but more of matte. The texture is so smooth and buttery. It blends into skin so effortlessly and it has very high pigmentation. I recommend dabbing off excess while taking the eyeshadow but even if you end up applying more eyeshadow blending can be so easy and gives a smooth finish. There are beautiful shades and so many looks can be created using this palette, however I wish there was a matte black in this palette.

The packaging comes in a sturdy cardboard box and lid is like mauve pink color with velvet finish. The packaging look super cute but it can look dirty after sometime but that doesn’t matter since the inside stuff is to die for!! The palette comes with a double sided brush. Not a big fan of the brush though !!

You get 14 shades in total.

Tempera is a vanilla shade with a matte finish

Golden Ochre is an earthy yellow with a matte finish

Vermeer is an iridescent shell with a metallic finish

Buon Fresco is an antique lavender with an matte finish

Antique Bronze is a metallic bronze with a satin finish

Love Letter is a raspberry with a matte finish

Cyprus Umber is a coffee shade

Raw Sienna is a neutral amber with a matte finish

Burnt Orange is a deep orange with a matte finish

Primavera is a shimmery gold with a matte finish

Red Ochre is a sienna with a matte finish

Venetian Red is a crimson with a matte finish

Warm Taupe is an earthy gray with matte finish

Realgar is an orange brick with a matte finish.

I know by now every single person own this but still I highly recommend this palette to everyone who are still considering to buy. This is a great buy and totally worth the money.
