Basic Makeup Tips For Beginners

For every girl, knowing some basic makeup tips that can make them look good within minutes are essential to know. Not all of us are blessed with good skins and features, so some basic makeup always do the job. Follow these basic makeup tips to make your days brighter!

Moisturizer is important before getting started with the makeup as they allow the base to set properly which can facilitate the application of makeup later. When you have to apply makeup, first rub a dab of moisturizer on your face and neck in a gentle, circular motion. Make sure your skin has absorbed it completely before you think of applying any other product.

Concealers play an influential role in giving you that flawless complexion which you have always longed for. They fulfill the purpose by hiding those unwanted dark under-eye circles, freckles and discolorations. However, in order to achieve that spotless complexion, you have to make sure to get hold of the right type and shade of concealer. After moisturizing your skin, take a bit of concealer and damp it lightly on the parts your skin which you need to cover up.

It is important that your concealer stays on for a long time. To make sure that happens, gently pat a matte powder on your face smoothly. Dusting of powder will soak up the undesirable oil too which will help in giving you that fresh look. Opt for a neutral tone of powder. It does not only look natural but is also capable of giving you  that extra coverage.

For that eye-opening look, first of all make use of an eye curler. This will help in increasing the length of your lashes and the size of your eyes. Remember to invest in a good quality of curler as you do not want to ruin those precious lashes of yours. Once you are done with curling, coat your lashes with a good brand of mascara. You can apply as many coats as you want for  that desired effect but allow the first coat to dry before applying another one.

If you, like all the other women also want that healthful glow on your face, then you need a good blush. A blush can make your face look automatically bright. For this reason, make a habit of applying blush on a regular basis on the apple of your cheeks. In order to do so, get started with smiling as this will bring out the apples of your cheeks. This is the exact place where you need to rub in some color and extend it towards the direction of your ears. Blending is important.

To add a tinge of style to your personality, bring your lips under the spotlight! Be it tinted or nude, a gloss is bound to draw attention to your lips which are the sexiest part of your entire self.

In Detail The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil Review

The packaging is a very classical serum oil packaging with a glass dropper to give you the exact amount of product as you want. I have used this religiously everyday from past three months. I use almost 3-4 drops for my entire face and neck. It has a very mild fragrance.

I have a combination skin and experience occasional breakouts. This product sinks in very easily into my skin and of course there is this very thin layer of shine on my face but it is not something which makes me look extra greasy. Next morning when I wake up, I feel like my skin feels so relaxed. It calms and soothes my skin. My skin feels much healthy and plum in a good way. I do apply this in the under eye area as well and it takes care of those wrinkles under the eyes, makes them less prominent. I really feel like a happy face whenever I have used this product in the previous night. Vitamin E also assists with fighting signs of pigmentation and sun damage.

I highly recommend this product for Dry-Combination skin type.

Best Natural Cleansers, Toners And Moisturisers Suitable For All Skin Types

Not everyone wants to spend a fortune on expensive beauty products or do not trust the chemical-based marketed beauty products and most often everyone tend to skip out on the most important activity for the skin– cleansing, toning and moisturising (also known as the CTM routine).

But, what if we can simplify this dilemma of yours on what products and ingredients to trust and invest in, with some awesome natural solutions. Yes, do not need to step out and go to the market to search for the best cleansing, toning and moisturising products. You just need to step in to your kitchen. Here are some homemade natural cleansers, toners and moisturisers with ingredients that are easily available at home.

#1. Cleansers

Cleansing the skin is the first step to see a resplendent glow on it. Start the ritual by cleansing your face, so that you can remove excess oil, dust and pollution that block the skin pores.

a) Honey

Raw honey is amazing for cleansing your skin naturally as well as keeping it hydrated and smooth. Mix half a teaspoon of honey with water and thin it out. Apply this directly on the face and wash with warm water after 15-20 minutes. This is a gentle cleanser that reduces oil secretion and breakouts. Those with oily skin can mix lemon juice with it while dry skin if you add milk with honey.

b) Baking Soda, Jojoba Oil and Essential Oil

Make a quick facial cleanser by taking baking soda and jojoba oil, and combining it with any other essential oil. Different essential oils have different benefits, such as chamomile is good as anti-inflammatory while tea tree oil helps fighting acne. Lavender and eucalyptus oils are known for their antibacterial properties.

To clean your face, take a little of the baking soda, a few drops of jojoba oil, and a little bit of the other essential oil. You can also add a dollop of pure honey to the mix. Now, massage this on your damp face, and wash it off with warm water after a few minutes. This multi-purpose cleanser will improve complexion, reduce acne and blemishes and give you clear skin.

#2. Toners

Cleansing and toning go hand in hand. These are used to tighten the pores to reduce their visibility.

a) Apple Cider Vinegar and Aloe Vera

A quick toner can be made by combining half a cup of liquid aloe vera with about two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. Spray this onto a cotton pad and apply to clean face. This toner will help to clean and tighten your skin pores, as well as keep acne at bay. This is also a great natural makeup remover as well.

b) Rose water

Known for its benefits as skin astringent, you can apply rose water directly onto the face with a cotton pad. Rose water need not be rinsed off. Rose water also keeps your face oil free, smooth and glowing.

c) Vegetable and Fruit Juices

Some fruits and vegetables, such as cucumber and strawberry, act as natural astringents and can be applied directly to the face.

#3. Moisturisers

To hydrate the skin and keep it looking fresh, ending the skin cleaning process with a moisturiser is a must.

a) Avocados

This yummy fruit is the storehouse of many amazing nutrients, proteins and vitamins, which will replenish your skin and keep it smooth. Mash one ripe avocado and apply its paste on your face, to enjoy its skin moisturising benefits. Just rinse it off after 15 minutes to reveal soft, hydrated and glowing skin.

b) Glycerine/Milk Cream

Commercial products also usually contain glycerine, as it helps to keep the skin soft. So, apply this directly to the face and rinse off. You can add some rose water in it as well. If you have dry skin, you could also rub milk cream on the face and rinse off for a moisturised face. It should be noted that cream can make oily skin very greasy.

c) Orange Juice, Lemon Juice and Yoghurt

Take a tablespoon each of orange juice and lemon juice, and add it to a cup of yoghurt. Now, mix this well, and apply it on your face. After 15 minutes, clean it off with lukewarm water to reveal soft and glowing skin. You can also add mashed strawberries to the mix, instead of orange juice to experience an instant splash of moisture.

Just use these awesome natural cleansers, toners and moisturisers to feel a burst of glow and beauty on your face.
