The stars put their best foot forward for the Hollywood biggest night and everyone looked best at the red carpet but following are my top 5 favorite makeup moments.

DIY Lip Scrub

Hello, lovelies!

Today, I will be showing you a super easy and simple DIY lip scrub that I love! You literally need just two ingredients to make this and  I  prefer the ones I make myself because  they are cheaper and homemade. Enjoy!

You will need:

  • 1 TBSP of Sugar
  • 1 TBSP of Honey
  • lip

Simply mix both the ingredients and and feel free to adjust the amounts of ingredients to your liking.Apply this scrub on your lips in circular motions for two minutes. Also, you can use toothbrush which has soft bristles to exfoliate. The sugar scrub will exfoliate all of the dead, flaky skin off of your lips, while honey will give you a smooth and nice texture.

It’s my favorite lip scrub and hope you guys will like it too!

Wet N Wild Lipstick Bare It All

The old adage is true, you never know unless you try. This goes for this lipstick! I was very hesitant to get this shade as I thought this pure nude beige like shade would not suit my brown skin but then it was so inexpensive that I ended up getting this shade.

My Reviews:

It’s a matte lipstick and the formula is thick and creamy. It is a perfect neutral beige-not too light or dark. It has enough color to not make like that I wore concealer on my lips or look muddy. The lipstick glides smoothly after I prep my lips (either exfoliate or apply some lip balm). If applied with the balm the lipstick looks like a satin matte finish.  The setback of this lipstick is that if I apply without prepping my lips it’s too dry to work and does not glide smoothly.  I have read that different colors in the Megalast collection feel different. Some are more chalky, but not this one. Color pay-off is good. It will cover your lips in one swipe only but it will give you an  uneven look to the lips so you need apply one more coat to smooth it out .Staying power is ok. Without meal, it stayed up to its claim of 4 hours. With meal, it starts fading in center but slightly visible.

Also, this color is dupe for MAC’s Velvet Teddy.  ! I didn’t believe the hype for this shade until I tried it. This lip color ca be paired with strong eye look or full glam look or with just a simple natural no makeup- makeup look.

The packaging is nothing special. It comes in a black color case with transparent cap for color to show through. Cap is very loose and flimsy but who can complain at this price.

  • Inexpensive
  • Matte finish
  • Doesn’t leave a stain on lips
  • Good pigmentation

  • Flimsy packaging
  • Can’t be put on dry lips

This Honey Oat 3 in 1 is a scrub mask from The Body Shop cleanses polishes and moisturizes your skin. The texture and the mask in itself is so creamy and smooth to apply.

My Review:

I have combination skin but more on dry side. I use this twice in a week and I love the glow that it gives me. It’s a very mild scrub which contains honey and oats. Honey is naturally antibacterial and full of antioxidants. It is great for slowing down aging. It also boost your complexion is extremely moisturizing and soothing, so it helps create a glow while Oats removes the dead cells, irritation, and redness, leaving a soft, moist skin.

To start with, first I cleanse my face and then spread this mask all over my face until it is opaque. I leave it for 15 minutes. It does not dry completely so before rinsing my face I gently massage my face in circular motions to exfoliate the skin with the oats. Lastly, I wipe off with a face. Voila!! say hello to beautiful, soft skin!

It helps to restore the moisture and remove impurities. I totally love how my skin feels after I use this product.

Here is a setback! When you apply, it really stings a lot for a while. The sting settles to a tingling sensation after a while and then it’s totally gone

It has a strong honey-oat smell. It comes in a tub with a screw lid and  I am already planning on what I could do with the empty container, once the scrub is over 😛

  • All-in-one, easy to use.
  • A little goes a long way (doesn’t dry off).
  • Makes skin soft
  • Restores and moisturizes skin
  • Totally cost efficient.

  • Smell might seem overpowering.
  • Stinging feeling
