My Review:

Hands down these are my Holy Grail concealer. I am literally obsessed with these concealers. L.A Girl for providing a huge range of concealers for every skin tone on earth. You can literally just pick one to cover your blemishes (I can guarantee you will find your exact match) to conceal under eye bags, to contour, and to highlight–ALL from this concealer line alone.

It has a thick formula but it’s not too drying on the skin. It sets really well and you can choose to further set it with a setting powder. It blends out easily. The brush-like tip helps target the application better and I blend it out with my Real Techniques Miracle Sponge. It is medium-full coverage concealer; a little dab goes a long way and does the job well. In terms of longevity, it lasts for a pretty good while; I would say about six hours without creasing which is pretty good for a drug store concealer. I mainly love using these for highlighting and contouring. I apply my NYX Dark Circle Concealer to cancel out the darkness under my eyes and then apply this concealer in the shade Pure Beige. It gives amazing highlighted look and covers my dark circles as well. For my contour, I use the shade Beautiful Bronze which is a nice warm bronzy brown shade and suits my skin tone well as a contour shade. I am NC 40 and this shade look lovely and perfect for contouring.

Although, the product looks small (it is only 8g), it has lasted me for a while. These are so inexpensive and work just as MAC Pro Long-wear Concealer.

4

About the packaging, it comes in a basic squeeze tube with a secure cap. The brush-like tip which is useful in spot application but I think it might get little messy.  Personally, I find it difficult to dispense the product from the tube, sometimes I get a decent amount, sometimes none and other times too much. It’s a bit of a hit and miss. But overall packaging is cute and travel friendly and the good thing is it comes in a clear/transparent tube so you can see what shade you need.

I highly recommend these and you can finally get a great concealer that won’t make you have to miss a partyor dinner!!

Pros:

  • Inexpensive
  • Blends out easily
  • Gives good coverage
  • Long lasting staying power

Cons:

  • Messy packaging

Maybelline FIT-Me Foundation Dewy+Smooth Review

Hey guys,

How are you all doing? I am here today to review one my favorite drugstore foundation. So lets get started,

Product Description:

Maybelline’s Fit Me Dewy + Smooth Foundation is face makeup that fits you. No oils, no waxes, no nonsense. Natural coverage that leaves skin the way it was meant to be: fresh, breathing, natural. Exclusive translucent base and lightweight pigments allow skin’s natural highs and lows to show through. Non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores) and dermatologist tested.

Benefits:

  • Protects with SPF 18 (for all shades except Toffee and Mocha)
  • Shade-true gel foundation merges with your natural tone
  • Darker shades specifically formulated for women of color, with no ashiness

My Verdict:

This is one of my favorite drugstore foundations. I saw people raving about it all over social media and just couple of months back I got this foundation and since then I love it. I got in the shade 315 (Soft Honey). It gives you a nice dewy finish and its lightweight. The consistency of this foundation is liquid which I love. This is so light that you don’t really even see or feel it but still gives good coverage. This is not a full coverage foundation but for everyday use or to even out your skin tone it’s a great product. I have dry skin and I love the way my skin looks when I apply this foundation ( Dewy+Smooth). Also, it has SPF 18 which is great but still I prefer to apply my sunscreen before applying any foundation to protect my skin from heat.

It does apply well and blends out very easily. If your day involves you being exposed to the elements like heat and humidity, this probably isn’t for you. The foundation kinda melts which makes your face looks patchy.

Now, about the packaging, it comes in a glass bottle with a plastic cap which looks good but I would have preferred a cap with a pump. That way it makes easier to use the product without wasting much.

11

Overall, considering the price and the coverage which it gives, it’s a very good product for daily use.

Pros:

  • Easy to apply
  • Blends well
  • Goes on smoothly
  • Lightweight
  • Inexpensive
  • Good pigmentation
  • Good coverage

Cons:

  • Doesn’t stay too long
  • Packaging could have been better

May Favorites 2016

Its been a long time since I did my monthly favorites post but here I am sharing all my favorites from the month of May. It’s all mostly Makeup with just one skincare product. These are the products which I have been using to a large extent in the past month.

Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipstick- Craving Coral :

I am a lipstick sucker and I love matte lipsticks. This creamy matte lipstick has amazing formula and glides on so easily with a matte finish but doesn’t settle into the lines or dry out the lips. I used in the shade Craving Coral which is an orange with red undertone lipstick and I love wearing such shades on bright sunny days. For full review about the product click here

Garnier Micellar water:

I just recently discovered this micellar water and I love it. Waterproof Makeup comes off easily with this cleansing water and it also helps remove the dirt and impurities from the skin. For full review click here

Almond oil:

There are so many uses of almond oil but lately I have been using it for my under eye dark circles every single night before my sleep and wash my face the next morning with a mild cleanser. I have noticed considerable difference and won’t stop using it. You will not see any result overnight. Use at least for a month and I am sure you will notice the difference. I highly recommend this. Wet & Wild Gel Nail Color:

I love this one step gel nail polish. It doesn’t chip and my manicure stays much longer. Overall I loved how this gel nail color. For full review click here

Jersey Shoe Spa Hydrating Balm:

I got this lip balm in my May Ipsy bag and I loved it. It’s a lavender moisture rich hydrating balm. I love the way it feels on my lips. I apply this before applying any lipstick and my lipstick glides on so smoothly especially liquid lipstick.
