DIY Body Scrub Using Coconut Oil

Hey Loves,

You guys know how much I love coconut oil. There are so many uses and benefits of it.  I have jotted down my most 6 uses of this oil HERE

Today I am here with you all to share my most used and favorite body scrub using coconut oil. This is by far the most easy and effective body scrub I have ever used.

For this DIY Body Scrub,

You will need,

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (You can use up to 1/2 cup if you want more coarse like texture)
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil

Combine these ingredients together and mix well. Store them in a glass container or plastic tub. Massage this scrub for few seconds. Rinse and pat dry. I like to refrigerate this scrub. This scrub leaves my dry skin feel so smooth and soft.

Hope you enjoyed this simple homemade scrub! Do let me know your thoughts about this. Thanks for reading :)!

NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick In SOFTSPOKEN

Hey Guys,

I am back with another Liquid Lipstick review. I have been loving liquid lipstick lately and trying different ones. I wanted to try a nude shade this time and hence damaged my pocket and got this lovely shade. Keep reading more my take on this lipstick.

Doll up your lips in plush and vibrant color! Our Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick glides on and sets into a striking matte finish. Now available in 12 more velvety-soft shades, this waterproof lippie creates a positively polished look with every swipe.

My Review:

NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipsticks have been out for quite a while now but recently only I got this one in the shade SOFTSPOKEN while I was on a search for Kat Von D Lolita Dupe and you guys this is so much similar to KVD Lolita. I instantly fell in love with this liquid lipstick and this shade is gorgeous and to die for.

The formulation of this lipstick is very creamy and buttery.  Application is so easy and glides on very smoothly. They don’t completely dry matte but more like a velvety satin matte finish if you guys understand what I mean 🙂 It’s highly pigmented and not drying on lips at all. A little transferable  and  it takes a while to completely dry but doesn’t leave your lips patchy. The color is still leaves an even stain on your lips. It stayed good for 6+ hours with eating and drinking and no touch ups.  It was so comfortable to wear and I dint feel like I was wearing a liquid lipstick. It has a weird smell but goes away within seconds.

If you are into liquid lipsticks but don’t love the complete matte and unduly drying feel on your lips, the NYX Liquid Suedes are definitely worth trying.  This liquid lipstick would be great for beginners to want to try liquid lipstick.

Talking about packaging, it is very simple and quite similar to Soft Matte Lip Creams, but bigger. The top lid is black and the tube itself has the color of the actual lipstick so it’s easy to pick and it comes with a doe foot applicator.

It’s a nice warmer mauve brown tone shade and I am so in love with this lipstick and the color. The best part is NYX products are  cruelty free. I would highly recommend this to everyone and this shade I believe will suit all skin tone. f you don’t want to spend 20 bucks on Lolita or can’t get your hands on it, I would highly recommend picking up NYX ‘Soft Spoken’. It is just as pretty and much more comfortable!

  • Creamy &Smooth
  • Matte
  • Highly pigmented
  • Very Comfortable on the lips
  • Leaves a stain
  • Long lasting 5+ hours
  • Cruelty Free

Cons:   None

Price: $7 at NYX Cosmetics Website

Rating: 5/5

Do I recommend these? Yes! Definitely worth trying. For only $7, it can’t get any better than this.

I really hope you enjoyed today’s post. Have a great week!!

What’s In My Travel Makeup Bag

Hey Guys!!

Sorry for being MIA but now I am back from my vacation. I went to Las Vegas for the July long weekend and it was 5 day trip and we had a blast.

I thought it would be a good idea to write this post so you can see what I decided to take with me on my trip. I always struggle to figure out what makeup items to bring with me when I go away because I never want to over pack but then again you don’t want to forget anything important. Can you really blame a girl for having too many options? I get tentative when traveling. Is it just me or can you relate?

Keep reading if you want to see what I carried with me in my travel makeup bag!

MAC Prep+Prime: I like to carry samples while travelling as it becomes so easy to carry and travel with. This base visage is my favorite from MAC.

MAC Studio fix fluid foundation: This foundation is one of the best and I have been using this for years now and I swear by it. Also it has SPF 15 which is effective for summers.

MAC Pressed Powder: To set my base I carried this powder as it gives even coverage and flawless look.

NYX Dark Circle Concealer: It comes in a small jar and its really works good as  a corrector for my undereyes. For full review click here

LA Girl Concealer: I carried this in Pure Beige and Beautiful Bronze for highlighting and contouring. For full click here

Rimmel Natural Bronzer: To set my contour I love using this to give a completed and flawless contoured look. For full review click here

ELF Blush Palette: This is my favorite blush palette. A little goes a long way and these are so pigmented and they stay throughout the day. Love this !!

Urban Decay Setting Spray:  Just recently I have started using this and I swear makeup stays longer with this spray. This is a travel size so it’s even easier to travel and also you can just throw in your handbag and carry all day long by spritzing on your face whenever needed.

Real Techniques Miracle Sponge: This is my favorite method to apply my foundation. I love using this RT sponge. It gives an air brush finish.

For Eyes:

Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance: Again this a travel size and I love this eyeshadow base. Colors blend in very easily and creates a good canvas on your eyes.

Carli Bybel BH Cosmetics Palette: This palette is amazing and it has nice warm neutral colors and some nice metallic eyeshadows  so I decide to carry only this palette. Also it has highlighters so it’s like all in one palette. This palette is sturdy and very travel friendly. For full review click here

NYC Black Liquid Liner: This is my favorite drugstore eyeliner and its super black and matte.

Wet N Wild Eye Pencil: I carried with me in the nude shade for my waterline and this makes my eyes look bigger and awake. It’s super cheap and I highly recommend this.

ELF Eyebrow Kit: I am really not a brow person because I kinda got thick and fuller eyebrows so just to fill the little gaps I like using this small palette.

ELF Eyelash Curler: Curler is very important before applying any mascara and I love this curler because it does the job and it’s so inexpensive.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara: First of all, I love how this mascara looks. Its so pretty and it gives amazing look to my lashes.

Ardell Lashes with Duo Glue: A falsies can instantly change your entire look so don’t forget to carry this.

For Lips:

Maybelline Creamy Matte in Craving Coral: This is a nice red coral shade and perfect for summer. For full review click here

Stilla Liquid Lipstick: This is very nice berry pink shade and its one of my favorite liquid lipstick. It literally stays all day long. For full review click here

NYX Liquid Suede: I carried this nude shade in SOFTSPOKEN and it’s one of my favorite nude lipstick which can look good on any skin tone. I highly recommend this shade.

These are some of the brushes which I carried with me for my face and eyemakeup.

I packed all these in this cute green teal bag which I got from The Blush Box. I love how cute it looks.

Ipsy Bag June 2016

Hey Guys,

Another post on my beauty box for this month and it’s my Ipsy bag. I received this month’s bag very late but none the less I am here with my post. It’s a monthly subscription beauty bag price at $10 each month. This month theme was Rebel Rebel and I love the bag. It has graffiti theme with all colors. It’s so unique from any other Ipsy bag.

Talking about the products I received products which I haven’t tried before. I am totally disappointed that I dint receive one product from them. Generally Ipsy sends you 5 products in the bag and I got only 4 products this month. I was supposed to receive Boo-Boo Cover up Concealer but when I opened my bag it was missing  🙁 Duh!!

But anyways my thoughts on the other 4 products are kinda mixed. Keep on reading you guys,

Doucce Boombastic Lash Volumizer Mascara: ($24, for full size)

Doucce is a French word and it means “new and elegant”. I love this mascara. I used couple of times and I am totally impressed with this.  The tip of this wand is beautiful and can get hold of even the little lashes. It gives nice volume to your clashes without clumping them.

Liptini Cream Lip color in Pinktini: ($12, for full size)

I dint like this product to be honest on my lips. I dont prefer gloss or anything shiny lipsticks. I rather used this as a cream blush. It’s a nice warm rose color with a hint of mauve and using as a cream blush gives me a natural glow on my cheeks.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow In Lounge: ($19, for full size)

I got this in the shade Lounge and it’s a nice reddish-brown topped with teal-green shimmer. Its rich and pigmented. Loved this eye-shadow.

Frank Body Original Coffee Scrub: ($14.95, for full size)

Caffeine is great to use on skin to increases blood-flow and it’s great for reducing the appearance of cellulite. I love using coffee scrub and I am so glad I got this. It also gets rid of dry and flaky skin. It contains almond oil which will moisturize and nourish my skin. I am excited to try this scrub.

Overall, I like this bag but disappointed that Ipsy failed to send me the other product.
