Review | Wet N Wild Comfort Zone Palette

Comfort Zone 1

Wet N wild Comfort Zone palette is one of the most raved among many beauty bloggers and you tubers. Wet N wild is known for its affordability and excellent pigmentation when it comes to your eye-shadow palettes. I haven’t used any other palettes from Wet N wild except for this Comfort Zone Palette and hands down this is my favorite palette ever. The price of this palette is a total steal.

Wet N Wild Comfort Zone Palette

This palette has 8 warm toned shades and labelled as guidelines (Brow bone, eyelid, crease, definer) but off course you don’t have to follow them.  The shades are mostly metallic, satin and shimmer. There are no matte shades in this but that’s totally okay for me. The left side of the palette has mostly golden toned eye-shadows and right side has mostly dark shades. All the shades are extremely pigmented, soft and buttery. A little goes long way so need to be careful while loading the shades on your brushes. It applies very smoothly and blends very easily. None of the shades are dry or chalky even though few darker shades have fallout. Overall, I love this palette because of this excellent quality of shades, pigmentation and affordability and has universally flattering  shades to create different looks. The swatches below are just one swipe and no primer.

Left Side:

Browbone is a warm beige with peachy undertones with a soft frosted finish. It’s great for highlighting your browbones and also inner corners of your eyes.

Eyelid is a rosy orange copper like color with soft satin metallic finish and this shade works very well on eyelid.

Crease is warm gold brown color and it a perfect shade for crease although I prefer matte shades on my crease. I like to use this on my outer corner of the eyes to create some definition and depth.

Definer is true chocolate brown with shimmer and is slightly darker than the crease shade. It’s a great shade to create a brown smokey eye and also great to use on your lower lash line.

Right Side:

Browbone is light pale champagne with gray undertones and it works well on browbone as well as inner corners. Also I like to use this on my entire eyelid for a simple look.

Eyelid is a beautiful light springy yellow green with soft metallic finish.  This shade works well if you want to go with a neutral green smokey eye.

Crease is a beautiful dark green brown with lots of shimmer. Although it’s labelled as a crease shade I really love using this on my entire eyelid or the outer corners of my eyes. Love this shade to create an intense smokey eye look.

Definer is a blue-green duochrome with soft frosted finish. This is the most unique shade in the palette.

My Night Time Skincare Routine

Skincare routine

Who doesn’t want best and flawless looking skin?? Well, I do so I never want to skip on my night-time routine. After a long day at work when your skin is dull looking and tired, that’s the time when night-time skincare routine comes to rescue and helps improving your skin. Night times are the best to pamper your skin as no harsh sun-rays, electronic devices or any other source which harms your skin.  So, I am going to share my night-time skincare routine which I try to do every day. I wouldn’t say my skin is gorgeous now but it has improved from before.

Removing Makeup:

If I am wearing any makeup I first like to remove it using my favorite Garnier Cleansing Micellar Water. It removes my makeup very easily and also cleanses by skin. I love how my skin feels after using this.

Cleansing:

After removing makeup, I like to cleanse my face using a cleansing milk or cleansing foam. This removes all the extra impurities and dirt. For this I like to use my TBS Vitamin E cleanser or Cream Cleanser.

Cleansing

Scrub:

I scrub my face only twice a week as I have dry and sensitive skin. On other days I skip this step and follow the next step. For this I like to use TBS Honey+Oat Scrub. Honey and oats has its own benefits and this helps in removing the dead skin cells and also reduces pigmentation. It helps to restores skin moisture.

Scrub

Face Mask:

I don’t use a face mask every single day but two-three times a week. The days when I scrub my face I definitely do use face mask. My current favorite face masks are DIY Avocado Face Mas or Aloe Mask .I love how avocado makes my skin look and feel. It gives a very smooth and fresh looking skin.

Face mask

Toning:

Toning is very important step. There were times when I dint knew how toning would change my skin. Toning you skin helps maintain the PH balance of your skin and gives the extra nourishment and hydration. Never skip this is your skincare routine be it morning or night. Currently, I like to use TBS Vitamin E Toner or just spritz rose water all over my face.

Serum:

Serum recharges your skin and replenishes it. I highly recommend using serums in your skincare routine. I have noticed considerable changes and love how my skin feels the next morning. It hydrates and gives a plump effect. I like to use my fav TBS Vitamin E Overnight Serum In oil and I have been using this serum for more than a year now.

Serum

Eye-Cream:

Never skip this step. There are tons of eye-creams available but these can be little expensive. Finding a good affordable ey-cream is not easy. According to me, eye-cream doesn’t help in  getting rid of dark circles but I highly suggest using one because as moisturizing face is important focusing on area under our eyes are equally important. Using eye-creams helps in getting of puffiness and tiredness around eyes. I like to use Cera-Ve eye-cream. Also, I like to use Almond Oil and this helps me in getting rid of those dark circles as well.

Eye-cream

Moisturizer:

Lastly, I apply moisturizer which is hydrating and anti-ageing. Currently, I like to use Olay Age defying night cream and I am obsessed with it. I love how it feels on my skin.

Night cream

Lip-Balm:

Last but not least, I never forget to apply lip balm. Any lip balm will do as long as it nourishes your lips.

There are days when I am just too lazy and cheat myself and skip the entire thing 😀

That’s about it. Hope you guys enjoyed this and do share your thoughts about and what you like to do. Thanks for reading :)!

NYX Illuminator In Ritualistic- Review

NYX ILLuminator

Are you a fan of highlighter?? I am definitely a huge fan when it comes to highlighter and to be honest I never really knew what highlighter is before entering the makeup world but now I am obsessed with them. Whether I am spotting full face makeup or minimal makeup I never skip highlighter.

NYX Cosmetics

File_002 (1)

NYX Illuminator in Ritualistic is a white pale gold with an ivory base. I like how this feels. The texture is very soft, creamy and highly pigmented.  It’s neither chalky nor powdery.  It applies very smoothly and blends easily. It’s great for a natural every day glow or you can build up the product a little more for a more intense highlight. There are 5 shades to choose and I was in dilemma as to which shade would suit my skin tone I ended up with Ritualistic (which is pale white) as I have other peachy pink highlighter. I think this is perfect for my skin tone. It might look too white for darker skin tones. It has good lasting power. It stays good for more than 5-6 hours and starts fading but still you are left with little glow. I like to use this as a body highlighter as well.

On swatching it might look very chalky but after blending it gives very nice subtle natural look. If you like high beam highlighters then you should pass this one and if you want every day natural glowy look then  I highly recommend this and of course intensity can be built.

I love the packaging. It comes in a good size compact powder kind pan which is black glossy plastic and a mirror which is great during travelling as well.

Pros:

  • Inexpensive
  • Cruelty free
  • Good staying power
  • Blends easily
  • Good pigmentation
  • Smooth texture
  • Everyday use

Cons:

  • Might be too white for other skin tones
  • Not a high beam highlighter

Price: $8.99

Summer is about to end and slowly climate is changing and we are moving towards fall now. It compliments my skin very well and looks good with any eye makeup or no makeup. It instantly changes the whole look.

Maybelline Creamy Matte In Craving Coral is a beautiful red-orange lipstick and I love this shade. Its universal flattering and I thoroughly enjoyed spotting this every week. It’s a perfect coral color which looks absolutely stunning.

Lakme 9 to 5 In Red Coat is a gorgeous red shade and I loved wearing it for night-outs. If you love red lipsticks and don’t want to splurge on high-end then this is definitely a must try. It’s also a perfect dupe for MAC Ruby Woo.

With all the red, coral and pink lipsticks I always like to wear a nude lipstick. Be it summer, fall, winter or spring, you can never go wrong with nude lips. One of my favorite nude lipsticks is from NYX Liquid Suede In Softspoken. It’s a perfect nude lipstick for my skin tone (MAC NC40) and it’s neither drying nor streaky.
