The Body Shop Vitamin E Cleanser Review

Don’t we spend hours and hours to get a smoother and softer looking skin? Well, I do!! My skin is always just so dry be it summers or winters. So, I like to take extra care to get rid of dry skin and get a smooth and lively looking skin.

I have been using this cleanser for few weeks now and I really like it. I love using cleansing milk and cleansing creams on my skin because they give me a hydrated and soft looking skin without taking the moisture away. The texture of this cleanser is very similar to cleansing milk. It’s not too thick nor like a liquid consistency. I like to apply this with my hands on my face and massage for few seconds and wipe off using a cotton ball or cotton pad. I like to use mainly during morning because it’s a very gentle cleanser followed by The Body Shop Vitamin E toner. Vitamin E is known to hydrate and clear your skin and I do believe this has worked for me. When I am wearing full makeup I do like to double cleanse my face. So, first I use my Garnier Micellar Water which removes all the makeup followed by this cleanser. This doesn’t leave any oily or sticky residue. I love this cleanser as it’s very gentle and makes my skin look fresh and soft.

The packaging comes in a plastic pink peach bottle with a tight cap and I love how it looks. Now, this cleanser comes with totally different packaging. This cleanser does have little fragrance in it but that doesn’t bother me much.

I highly recommend this to all skin types as it hydrates your skin and gives you a soft looking baby skin.

ELF Blush Palette Review In Light

ELF Blush Palette

Hey beauties,

Are you a fan of blushes with affordable price?? Well, then this product is for you!!

I have been hearing so many good things about the ELF Blush Palettes and finally thought I should give it a try and lately have been loving using this blush.

My Review:

This quad comes in 4 different shades with three matte finish and one with very little shimmer. These blushes are very finely milled powders hence gives a very soft look on cheeks. It’s very easy to blend and are super pigmented. The palette has two different shades of pink, an orangey bronze tan color and a coral shimmery color. I like to mix and match these shades to create a contour blush. It has quite good staying power for up to 5-6 hours. The upper right hand shade is great for contouring or if you want to go for bronzey look. Although, I feel this is the only shade I feel little muddy when I apply but none the less I love this and also use on my crease. I just apply this blush very lightly on the apples of my cheeks with a slight sweep up towards my temples. The best part is the pans can be popped out. You can easily carry your favorite color in the palette while travelling with your other eye-shadow pans and highlighters.

Elf blush 1

                                                                                          Top row

Elf blush 2

                                                                                      Bottom row

Talking about packaging, it comes in a black hard sturdy plastic box with a huge mirror inside. I really like that it comes with such a mirror. The black packaging looks quite classic.

This palette comes in two different shades. One is Light and the other is Dark. I picked in the shade Light. Overall, I am totally impressed by this palette and highly recommend to everyone.

The Body Shop Aloe Vera Protective Restoring Mask Review

TBS Aloe Vera Mask

Hey loves,

This review is so overdue. Today I am here to talk about TBS popular product “Aloe Vera Protective Restoring Mask” which I picked few months back.  Lured by some awesome deals which TBS offers I picked up one of this in their buy 3 get 3 free deals.

My Review:

I picked up this product because of the redness on my face and sensitive skin due to heat and sunlight. Summers are bad where I live so I grabbed this one because it’s a aloe vera mask which will soothe and calm my skin. The first time I used I applied this mask and left for 20-30 mins to dry and then wiped of using a cotton pad. My skin felt so smooth and soft as I have very dry skin as well. I was amazed as to how my skin felt throughout the day after applying this mask. My skin didn’t feel dry and flaky and also redness was gone and hence was left with smooth and hydrated skin. The next time I used I applied this mask at night and I woke up with smooth supple and plumped skin. I was totally amazed on how it worked at night. And since then I have been using at night post cleansing and after applying this mask I don’t apply any apply moisturizer because after wiping this mask off my skin feels little greasy which is good for dry skin so I skip moisturizer. A little goes long way and the formula is neither too thick nor thin and no scent at all which is great.  Also, when I am out in the sun the whole day I like to use this mask to calm and smoothen my skin. Not that my dry skin as gone by using this but whenever I use my skin fees smooth and hydrated which  I really like and hence enjoy using this mask.

TBS Aloe Vera Protective Mask

Talking about packaging, it comes in a tub jar with a tight screw lid. It can be unhygienic and also messy to just put your hands in the jar and use the mask. I like to use a brush to apply this mask.

I would recommend it to almost anybody except those with very oily skin. Those with normal or combination skin could use it as a mask for a boost of hydration or to moisturize dry spots during colder months, while people with dry skin (like me) can  use it all the year round.

TBS Aloe Vera Mask

  • Little product goes long way

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream ‘SAO PAULO’ Review

NYX San Paulo

Hey loves,

How you all doing? As you all know I love matte lipsticks and on my recent visit to Ulta I stocked up couple of NYX Lipsticks because there was an offer in NYX.  I got NYX Liquid Suede In Softspoken which I totally love and NYX Soft matte lip cream which is raved by so many of them so I finally gave a try and got in the San Paulo and I have no regrets.

Now available in twelve more statement-making shades, our velvety smooth Soft Matte Lip Cream delivers a burst of creamy color and sets to a stunning matte finish. Surprisingly durable, lightweight and delightfully creamy, it’s no wonder this sweetly scented formula is a NYX fan favorite.

My Review:

San Paulo is one of the gorgeous shades in the matte lip cream range. It has nice creamy and buttery formula which glides on your lips. It’s a nice bright coral pink on me. I have seen this shade on other people and I guess it’s one of those shades which look different on every skin tone. It’s such a feminine shade and works well when worn on neutral eyes or smoky eyes. It instantly brightens up the face. I like how the shade is bright coral pink but not neon.  When applied on lips, it gives a sheen finish but within few minutes it dries completely matte. Also, I exfoliate my lips before using any matte lipsticks to prevent from settling into the lines or making my lips dry. One swipe gives intense pigmentation and opaque coverage to the lips. It lasted for 4-5 hours (including meals) which is not bad either considering the price.  When the lipstick fades after few hours it doesn’t leave any patchiness on your lips and fade looks even so re-application is easy.

NYX soft matte lip cream

Talking about packaging, it comes in transparent plastic tube with a black screw cap with a regular sponge applicator. The transparent tube allows one to easily locate the shades. The packaging is so sleek and very easy to carry while travelling. This has beautiful warm vanilla fragrance to it which is so appealing to me.

NYX lip cream

I really love this matte lip cream from NYX and I will try other shades too in future. I highly recommend this lip cream to everyone and it’s so affordable.

I got this at great price. Ulta was offering buy 1 get 1 50% in NYX so I got this at matte lip cream for $3. Now, this is a real steal I guess.  This is originally priced at $6 which is still a great price.

  • Affordable
  • Creamy matte finish
  • Glides on easily
  • Sleek packaging
  • Travel friendly
  • Intense pigmentation
  • Opaque coverage in one swipe
  • Cruelty free

  • I don’t find any real con with this but I do recommend using an exfoliator or chap stick before applying this lipstick or with any matte lipstick.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Foundation Review

Hey Beauties,

It’s here!! I finally got my hands on much talked foundation which is MUFE Ultra HD Foundation. I was in dilemma to get a stick foundation or liquid foundation. I finally got liquid foundation as my skin is dry (extremely dry these days !!) and thought this will work better. I got mine in the shade Y425.

Product Description:

Developed specifically for the film and TV industry’s most advanced technology, Ultra HD Liquid Foundation creates a naturally flawless complexion—on and off camera. Completely invisible under the latest, super-focused 4k lens, this revolutionary foundation features uniquely-coated pigments that provide medium to buildable coverage with an even lighter weight, second-skin texture that looks just like skin. “My goal was to cope with the new 4k technology while keeping the main benefits of HD Foundation. Ultra HD Foundation had to meet the perfection needs of pros as well as the everyday needs of all women.”—Dany Sanz, MAKE UP FOR EVER Founder and Creative Director.

My Review:

I have heard mixed reviews about this product. Some people have said that it lasts way longer for them, and others say it doesn’t last as long. I had no issues in the wear time. It did last longer for me without any issues. The formula is not to thick nor thin liquid so blending was incredibly easy. The coverage is medium with a satin finish and you can build layers for full coverage. My skin is on drier side (a lot dry) and I feel with this foundation my skin looks little dry and patchy in real but in photos it was looking amazing just like air-brush finish (Love the 4K technology). I was totally amazed by this. So, the next time I used this foundation I thought of using my serum in oil first and then apply my foundation and boy I was totally impressed with the way the foundation looked. My skin dint look neither dry nor flaky and the foundation went on smooth with flawless finish. So, I highly recommend using a rich moisturizer prior to this foundation for dry skin people.

Talking about packaging, the MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Foundation comes in a pump bottle. I love the sleek packaging and big thumbs up from me because I like my makeup to be as mess-free as possible and hate having to pour foundation out on my hand with non-pump bottles.

For me this was neither a big hit nor a miss. I loved this foundation but I wouldn’t repurchase it again. I will any day prefer my MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation(high end) and Maybelline Fit Me Foundation( Drugstore) over MUFE.
