Maybelline Super Stay 24 Hour Lipstick | Review

I am always on a hunt for a lipstick which lasts long without any reapplication so when I got Maybelline 24 hour stay lipstick I was excited to try because I have seen people raving and it claims to stay on lips for 24 hours.

This is a two-step process in applying lipstick. First you need to apply the lipstick and then after it dries you need to apply the balm to seal the moisturizer.

First time when I saw these I thought they were glosses because there was no mention of its formula but when I tried the lipstick they dried out completely matte and I was totally surprised. However the major concern for me here was it takes forever to dry matte. I literally had to wait 2-3 minutes to dry it matte and then apply the balm which comes along with it for giving a nourishing and moisturized lips. It does what it claims but when the balm is applied the lipstick doesn’t look matte anymore. It gives kind of a sheen finish which I am not a big fan so when I applied the next time I just skipped the balm part and just the lipstick try as I love the matte which it gives. However it was not at all comfortable on my lips. My lips were kind of pulling, felt super dry and stretchy. So again next time I tried it with the balm prior to lipstick application and this time it was super matte and comfortable on my lips. The staying power is actually really good. It lasted me throughout the day for at least 8 hours with little fading here and there but that’s really fine with me considering a drugstore brand. As tried this lipstick different ways and the staying power was equally good. Loved that!

Without the lip balm application

With the lip balm application

I got these in the shade Keep up the flame and Constant toast. I loved the Keep up the flame shade which is nice deep red color and a shade which is universally flattering. I dint like the Constant toast as it was too light for my skin tone and completely washed me out but it’s a really gorgeous nude shade and I am pretty sure it will look flattering on other skin tones.

The packaging is plastic with a lipstick and lip balm on each end.  The applicator of the lipstick is really comfortable in applying and easy to use. For a drugstore brand this is a good buy as it’s really affordable and is really long lasting.

Have you used this before? Which is your favorite 24 hour long lasting lipstick?

L’oreal Color Riche Balm | Review

Loreal color riche lip balm

I love lip balms and use them every single day. However I don’t own any tinted lip balm so when I walking at my nearest target beauty aisle I saw L’oreal Color Riche Balm on sale for like $2 I just couldn’t pass this so I ended up getting one in the shade Caring Coral. It’s just nice to add a little bit of color to your lips via lip balm when you don’t want to apply a lipstick.

My lips are pretty dry and cracked up all the time and as its getting colder I prefer an intense lip balm to keep my lips smooth and hydrated. The formula of this is exactly like a lip balm, very nourishing and moisturizing on your lips. It glides on easily without any patchiness or dryness. On applying it is very moisturizing and gives kind of a glossy finish but without being sticky on your lips which I really like. However, the color doesn’t show off.  The color payoff is bad and it doesn’t show on my lips. There is just teeny tiny bit of color on application which will not be shown up on pigmented lips. I got pretty pigmented lips so color dint show up at all as I was hoping but none the less I was pretty impressed by its moisturizing power and keeping my lips hydrated. I have used this prior to my lipstick application and love the way my liquid lipsticks glides making it more comfortable throughout the day.

Loreal color riche lip balm review

I love the packaging. It looks really luxurious. It comes in a bullet form like any other lipstick and love the gold bullet with a cap which is matches the shade. I don’t recommend to the ones with pigmented lips and I am not sure how it will look on non-pigmented lips if that makes sense.

The actual price of this is $6-$8 but I got for $2 which was a great steal but however I will not repurchase this or any other shade.

Have you ever tried this? Which is your favorite lip balm? Thanks for reading!

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara- Worth the hype?

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

I am a huge fan of mascara and I use almost every single day because I simply don’t prefer the hassle of applying of false lashes. Applying false lashes is a real struggle!! Isn’t? Who can relate? So, I always look out for mascara which gives voluminous and fuller looking lashes and one of my favorite is this Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara.

I got this in deluxe size along with Too Faced Shadow Insurance primer as I was not sure how this mascara would work for me and I was not ready to splurge on mascara.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara Review

This is not waterproof mascara and doesn’t claim to be so people who want waterproof mascara this one are not for you. Prior to applying mascara, I always curl up my lashes. There are days when I don’t apply mascara but still curl my lashes to give curled and more open lashes. So, I highly suggest curling your lashes first. The formula of this mascara is not so thin nor thick so there are no clumps. I like the wand size which is not bulky or sleek.  During application it doesn’t get on your eyelids or on you’re under eye area while applying on lower lashes. With 1 coat it gives very nice natural looking lashes and at 2 and 3 coats it gives pretty intense dramatic looking effect with no smudging or clumps. However, with more than 3 coats your lashes might like a spider web and might get clumped. I love the packaging. It sturdy and comes in a very pretty pink color.

Mascara is something you need to change every 3-4 months so I would suggest to get deluxe size mascara instead of wasting the product or using an expired product. I would highly suggest this mascara to everyone who want to give their lashes curled and voluminous effect and its totally worth the hype product.

PIXI Makeup Fixing Spray | Review

As I have dry skin I’m always looking out for something hydrating on my skin when it comes to any skincare or makeup setting products.  While shopping online I came across this PIXI makeup fixing spray which contains rose water and green tea I definitely wanted to try this out. So, I went ahead and treated myself with this amazing spray.

PIXI has some really good products and can be quite expensive but totally worth it at least for this product. I was looking out for a spray which can be used for multi-purpose and this one does the job which I was looking for. It’s really effective when used before/after makeup. It works great as a primer and really extends your makeup longevity. You can also use after makeup as a setting spray to set your makeup and add a soft focus finish on your skin. Usually with my dry skin, I get patches around my nose area when I wear makeup so this definitely helps in giving me a smooth and soft finish. It also prevents makeup settling into lines. I love to use this as a toner and spritz all over my face because the Green tea and Rose water present in it helps in getting rid of that acne, blemishes and gives a clean skin with hydration.

The packaging is adorable and comes in a plastic spray bottle but very sturdy so doesn’t look cheap at all and very easy to carry in a handbag or while you travel. I love to carry this every day at work and just spritz all over my face whenever my skin feels dull and dry.

I would highly recommend this to all skin types as it’s an amazing makeup fixing spray/ toner which works great for skin and love how my skin feels and looks after using this. The only con I think its little expensive when compared to other drugstore brands.
