Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette | Review

I generally don’t stock many eye shadow palettes as I am not a makeup artist and don’t do heavy eye makeup on everyday basis and I have couple of great palettes which are my personal favorite and I use them every time and love them. You can read about them here and here. When I read and saw so much hype about Anastasia Modern Renaissance palette I was not convinced to get due to price and color range because I have similar shades from other palettes. But during the end of the year when Sephora sent me a $20 coupon I knew what I had to purchase and hence got this palette. This palette is originally priced at $42 but I got it for $22.

I am probably the last one to get this palette and now I know why people kept talking about it so much. This palette has beautiful shade selection which will suit all skin tones especially medium skin tones since it has some wonderful transition shade. The palette has mix of metallic and matte shades but more of matte. The texture is so smooth and buttery. It blends into skin so effortlessly and it has very high pigmentation. I recommend dabbing off excess while taking the eyeshadow but even if you end up applying more eyeshadow blending can be so easy and gives a smooth finish. There are beautiful shades and so many looks can be created using this palette, however I wish there was a matte black in this palette.

The packaging comes in a sturdy cardboard box and lid is like mauve pink color with velvet finish. The packaging look super cute but it can look dirty after sometime but that doesn’t matter since the inside stuff is to die for!! The palette comes with a double sided brush. Not a big fan of the brush though !!

You get 14 shades in total.

Tempera is a vanilla shade with a matte finish

Golden Ochre is an earthy yellow with a matte finish

Vermeer is an iridescent shell with a metallic finish

Buon Fresco is an antique lavender with an matte finish

Antique Bronze is a metallic bronze with a satin finish

Love Letter is a raspberry with a matte finish

Cyprus Umber is a coffee shade

Raw Sienna is a neutral amber with a matte finish

Burnt Orange is a deep orange with a matte finish

Primavera is a shimmery gold with a matte finish

Red Ochre is a sienna with a matte finish

Venetian Red is a crimson with a matte finish

Warm Taupe is an earthy gray with matte finish

Realgar is an orange brick with a matte finish.

I know by now every single person own this but still I highly recommend this palette to everyone who are still considering to buy. This is a great buy and totally worth the money.
