Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask | Review

Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask

Lately I have been taking good care of my skin and was also in hunt of trying new products.  My skin is on dry side and as winter is approaching and days are actually getting little chiller my skin tends to dry a lot more and leave rough patches. I read about Clinique Overnight mask which is a good hydration mask for all skin types so I picked this up in deluxe size before splurging on the big tube. I have never used an overnight mask before so I was hesitant to try this out but excited as well.

What it is:

A creamy, oil-free facial mask that helps skin drink deep overnight for a soft, dewy glow by morning.

What it is formulated to do:

This rich, penetrating night mask helps skin drink deep to replenish lost moisture, building reserves for tomorrow. Recommended for all skin types, it soothes and nourishes to help skin stay hydrated all night long, allowing you to wake up to soft, dewy, glowing skin.

Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask

This isn’t a typical mask. The formula is so rich, thick, and creamy. The consistency is white creamy and the packaging says apply generously all over the face but little goes a long way. Just take a little bit of product and apply on your face. This doesn’t give any oil looking feel or greasiness. I would recommend applying 15 mins prior to your bedtime so that the mask sinks into your skin and doesn’t leave the residue on your pillow. I like to apply weekly thrice post cleansing my skin.

My skin has improved a lot and looks so hydrated and there are less of dry patches. It’s not completely gone but I know for sure its reducing and it’s because of this mask. This mask provides intense moisture and hydration to your skin. The next morning I get up with super glowy and plump looking skin. My face feels firm, glowy and smooth.  Another way I like to use this is after a clay mask. Clay Mask usually makes skin dry so instead of loading lots of moisturizer and I apply this and go to bed and next morning by skin looks super clean from clay mask and hydrated from Clinique Overnight Mask.

The packaging is simple and comes in tube form which is quite easy to use.  This mask worked wonder for me and being fragrance free makes it ideal for sensitive skin and I have never had any breakouts with this product.

I highly recommend this to everyone and I am sure you will not regret this buy.

My Night Time Skincare Routine

Skincare routine

Who doesn’t want best and flawless looking skin?? Well, I do so I never want to skip on my night-time routine. After a long day at work when your skin is dull looking and tired, that’s the time when night-time skincare routine comes to rescue and helps improving your skin. Night times are the best to pamper your skin as no harsh sun-rays, electronic devices or any other source which harms your skin.  So, I am going to share my night-time skincare routine which I try to do every day. I wouldn’t say my skin is gorgeous now but it has improved from before.

Removing Makeup:

If I am wearing any makeup I first like to remove it using my favorite Garnier Cleansing Micellar Water. It removes my makeup very easily and also cleanses by skin. I love how my skin feels after using this.

Cleansing:

After removing makeup, I like to cleanse my face using a cleansing milk or cleansing foam. This removes all the extra impurities and dirt. For this I like to use my TBS Vitamin E cleanser or Cream Cleanser.

Cleansing

Scrub:

I scrub my face only twice a week as I have dry and sensitive skin. On other days I skip this step and follow the next step. For this I like to use TBS Honey+Oat Scrub. Honey and oats has its own benefits and this helps in removing the dead skin cells and also reduces pigmentation. It helps to restores skin moisture.

Scrub

Face Mask:

I don’t use a face mask every single day but two-three times a week. The days when I scrub my face I definitely do use face mask. My current favorite face masks are DIY Avocado Face Mas or Aloe Mask .I love how avocado makes my skin look and feel. It gives a very smooth and fresh looking skin.

Face mask

Toning:

Toning is very important step. There were times when I dint knew how toning would change my skin. Toning you skin helps maintain the PH balance of your skin and gives the extra nourishment and hydration. Never skip this is your skincare routine be it morning or night. Currently, I like to use TBS Vitamin E Toner or just spritz rose water all over my face.

Serum:

Serum recharges your skin and replenishes it. I highly recommend using serums in your skincare routine. I have noticed considerable changes and love how my skin feels the next morning. It hydrates and gives a plump effect. I like to use my fav TBS Vitamin E Overnight Serum In oil and I have been using this serum for more than a year now.

Serum

Eye-Cream:

Never skip this step. There are tons of eye-creams available but these can be little expensive. Finding a good affordable ey-cream is not easy. According to me, eye-cream doesn’t help in  getting rid of dark circles but I highly suggest using one because as moisturizing face is important focusing on area under our eyes are equally important. Using eye-creams helps in getting of puffiness and tiredness around eyes. I like to use Cera-Ve eye-cream. Also, I like to use Almond Oil and this helps me in getting rid of those dark circles as well.

Eye-cream

Moisturizer:

Lastly, I apply moisturizer which is hydrating and anti-ageing. Currently, I like to use Olay Age defying night cream and I am obsessed with it. I love how it feels on my skin.

Night cream

Lip-Balm:

Last but not least, I never forget to apply lip balm. Any lip balm will do as long as it nourishes your lips.

There are days when I am just too lazy and cheat myself and skip the entire thing 😀

That’s about it. Hope you guys enjoyed this and do share your thoughts about and what you like to do. Thanks for reading :)!

5 ways to use Honey

Honey is one of the gentlest things you can put on your face. From young, oily and acne-prone skin to the dry, maturing types—honey has something for everyone.

Here are my top 5 ways to use honey,

Simple honey mask: Honey has moisturizing and antioxidant properties. It can be used as wonder mask. It also gently exfoliates. Apply a generous layer of raw honey to clean skin; relax for 30 minutes and rinse. Click here for a simple DIY using honey.

Honey scrub: Mix a small amount of honey with oats for a body and face scrub that exfoliates and moisturizes.

Lip moisturizing: Due to its moisturizing property, honey is great for lips. Click here for a simple DIY.

For acne:  Due to its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties honey works extremely well on skin that is prone to breakout. It helps heal existing acne and keep new breakouts from happening.

Anti-ageing properties: Honey is beneficial in protecting the skin against ultraviolet rays. Honey can thus be used as a good sunscreen preventing damage to the skin and premature ageing.

DIY Lip Scrub

Hello, lovelies!

Today, I will be showing you a super easy and simple DIY lip scrub that I love! You literally need just two ingredients to make this and  I  prefer the ones I make myself because  they are cheaper and homemade. Enjoy!

You will need:

  • 1 TBSP of Sugar
  • 1 TBSP of Honey
  • lip

Simply mix both the ingredients and and feel free to adjust the amounts of ingredients to your liking.Apply this scrub on your lips in circular motions for two minutes. Also, you can use toothbrush which has soft bristles to exfoliate. The sugar scrub will exfoliate all of the dead, flaky skin off of your lips, while honey will give you a smooth and nice texture.

It’s my favorite lip scrub and hope you guys will like it too!
