MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Foundation Review

MUFE1

Hey Beauties,

It’s here!! I finally got my hands on much talked foundation which is MUFE Ultra HD Foundation. I was in dilemma to get a stick foundation or liquid foundation. I finally got liquid foundation as my skin is dry (extremely dry these days !!) and thought this will work better. I got mine in the shade Y425.

Product Description:

Developed specifically for the film and TV industry’s most advanced technology, Ultra HD Liquid Foundation creates a naturally flawless complexion—on and off camera. Completely invisible under the latest, super-focused 4k lens, this revolutionary foundation features uniquely-coated pigments that provide medium to buildable coverage with an even lighter weight, second-skin texture that looks just like skin. This lighter weight formula delivers the very same flawless results as before when applied with a flat foundation brush in a tap and stretch motion (see how to section).
Long lasting with a natural finish, Ultra HD Liquid Foundation is formulated with hyaluronic spheres to ensure comfortable wear on all skin types. Now available in an expanded range of 40 shades to match all skintones, Ultra HD is the perfect everyday foundation for a flawless complexion – and an unretouched life.
With our new range of 40 shades, you might find a better match than before. Visit your nearest MAKE UP FOR EVER Boutique or Sephora to get re-shade matched.

“My goal was to cope with the new 4k technology while keeping the main benefits of HD Foundation. Ultra HD Foundation had to meet the perfection needs of pros as well as the everyday needs of all women.”—Dany Sanz, MAKE UP FOR EVER Founder and Creative Director.

My Review:

I have heard mixed reviews about this product. Some people have said that it lasts way longer for them, and others say it doesn’t last as long. I had no issues in the wear time. It did last longer for me without any issues. The formula is not to thick nor thin liquid so blending was incredibly easy. The coverage is medium with a satin finish and you can build layers for full coverage. My skin is on drier side (a lot dry) and I feel with this foundation my skin looks little dry and patchy in real but in photos it was looking amazing just like air-brush finish (Love the 4K technology). I was totally amazed by this. So, the next time I used this foundation I thought of using my serum in oil first and then apply my foundation and boy I was totally impressed with the way the foundation looked. My skin dint look neither dry nor flaky and the foundation went on smooth with flawless finish. So, I highly recommend using a rich moisturizer prior to this foundation for dry skin people.

Talking about packaging, the MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Foundation comes in a pump bottle. I love the sleek packaging and big thumbs up from me because I like my makeup to be as mess-free as possible and hate having to pour foundation out on my hand with non-pump bottles.

For me this was neither a big hit nor a miss. I loved this foundation but I wouldn’t repurchase it again. I will any day prefer my MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation(high end) and Maybelline Fit Me Foundation( Drugstore) over MUFE.

Pros:

  • Sleek packaging
  • Bottle comes with a pump dispenser
  • Gives air-brush look in photos
  • Blends with an ease
  • Medium-full coverage
  • Travel friendly
  • Comes in 40 different shades

Cons:

  • Expensive

Price: $43.00

Rating: 4/5

Have you tried this foundation? How did it work out for you?

Yes, I would suggest you you to pass this one and give Estee Lauder foundation a try. Have been hearing good about it so far 🙂 Thanks for reading hun !

Yes, I would prefer MAC as well but for photos and when I am infront of camera I will prefer this one.

Great post Karishma, its always helpful to read your informative and genuine reviews.
I remember testing it on my hand few months ago, the texture was to die for, it really felt lovely but applying it on the face and for long time is the real test for foundations.

Thanks hun for such kind words. I really appreciate it. And yes it’s true that wearing foundation for long time is when you actually know how it really works.

I would love to try this foundation, I have heard manyy youtubers rave about it, but the truth is I don’t spend much (or any) time in front of cameras, and as you said, if it looks better on camera than in real life, I would just likely spend my money in something that looks better in real life, but if I had the oportunity, I would love to try it and see what all the hype is about.

I’ve never tried any of Makeup Forever’s products before, but I, of course, heard so many great things about the brand, specifically their photo technology. It sounds like a great foundation for normal or combination skin! Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you’re having a great week so far!

Coverage for this foundation is buildable and it also has good staying power but again it may vary for different skin types 🙂

My skin can turn oily or dry depending on the weather and the foundation i’m using, I love the fact this gives excellent photo coverage but not sure whether it would work well with my skin tone. I have heard so many raving reviews about it though so i’m really torn whether to try it!! Excellent review.
