Influenster Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder #VoxBox

I was so excited with I received this beautiful loose powder from Laura Mercier to try out as I have seen so many people literally raves about this powder. I have been testing this out for almost two weeks now and I already declare this as my favorite powder ever I used. I just cannot stop using this and this has been my go to powder ever since I started using this.

The texture of this powder is so silky, smooth and velvety as it’s finely milled loose powder that just disappears in skin. It keeps my makeup in place throughout the day and also helps minimize oiliness around T-Zone and forehead. It also helps in avoiding the creasing for concealers under eyes. I like to apply my concealer first and just set it with this powder and brush off excess. It looks so natural as the texture feels so feathery and lightweight.  I have this in the shade translucent and barely there is any fragrance in it.  I like to use a tapered brush to apply this powder. Its perfect size and applies right amount. My face looked just as good 9 hours later. I was totally impressed. It contains French “cashmere” talc and a unique light-reflecting ingredient that creates a “soft-focus” appearance for fine lines and imperfections. This gives you a natural sheer look without making you look heavy or cakey.

The powder packaging comes in a plastic container with a brown glossy lid. It looks timeless and classy. It does come with a sifter on top so that you can control how much product you want to use. This powder comes with a Velour Puff from Laura Mercier.

This powder applies beautifully, its long wearing, doesn’t settle into fine lines and pores. I highly recommend it and I guess there is a reason why every beauty guru and beauty magazine is raving about it!

Thank you for taking your time to read. If you are considering a new setting powder, Laura Mercier makes a fantastic one! Have a sweet and wonderful day!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette | Review

I generally don’t stock many eye shadow palettes as I am not a makeup artist and don’t do heavy eye makeup on everyday basis and I have couple of great palettes which are my personal favorite and I use them every time and love them. You can read about them here and here. When I read and saw so much hype about Anastasia Modern Renaissance palette I was not convinced to get due to price and color range because I have similar shades from other palettes. But during the end of the year when Sephora sent me a $20 coupon I knew what I had to purchase and hence got this palette. This palette is originally priced at $42 but I got it for $22.

I am probably the last one to get this palette and now I know why people kept talking about it so much. This palette has beautiful shade selection which will suit all skin tones especially medium skin tones since it has some wonderful transition shade. The palette has mix of metallic and matte shades but more of matte. The texture is so smooth and buttery. It blends into skin so effortlessly and it has very high pigmentation. I recommend dabbing off excess while taking the eyeshadow but even if you end up applying more eyeshadow blending can be so easy and gives a smooth finish. There are beautiful shades and so many looks can be created using this palette, however I wish there was a matte black in this palette.

The packaging comes in a sturdy cardboard box and lid is like mauve pink color with velvet finish. The packaging look super cute but it can look dirty after sometime but that doesn’t matter since the inside stuff is to die for!! The palette comes with a double sided brush. Not a big fan of the brush though !!

You get 14 shades in total.

Tempera is a vanilla shade with a matte finish

Golden Ochre is an earthy yellow with a matte finish

Vermeer is an iridescent shell with a metallic finish

Buon Fresco is an antique lavender with an matte finish

Antique Bronze is a metallic bronze with a satin finish

Love Letter is a raspberry with a matte finish

Cyprus Umber is a coffee shade

Raw Sienna is a neutral amber with a matte finish

Burnt Orange is a deep orange with a matte finish

Primavera is a shimmery gold with a matte finish

Red Ochre is a sienna with a matte finish

Venetian Red is a crimson with a matte finish

Warm Taupe is an earthy gray with matte finish

Realgar is an orange brick with a matte finish.

I know by now every single person own this but still I highly recommend this palette to everyone who are still considering to buy. This is a great buy and totally worth the money.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer | Review

Have you ever noticed how few concealers when you apply them on your dark circles end up looking sort of grayish? That happens to me all the time. Concealers with yellowish tones don’t cancel out the purple or blue areas and they end up looking gray like I’m zombie.

Peach color correct (works best for medium and dark skin tones) cancel out those purple or blue tones leaving the under-eye area looking brighter, more refreshed and definitely not gray, LOL!

I am in the shade Ginger and it works great it cancelling out the darkness around my eyes without having to use any corrector. I have been hearing so many good things about this concealer from the time it released and finally I gave it a try and I absolutely love it. The texture is neither too thick nor thin and it has medium consistency and blends so easily into skin without creasing and that’s the best part I like about it.It’s so creamy like the name suggest and glides on easily. I have tried so many concealers and this one has been my most loved from high-end side. You just need a tad bit of this concealer and it gives a full coverage. In terms of longevity, it lasts for a pretty good while; I would say about eight hours without creasing. I highly recommend using a loose powder to set any concealer as it avoids any concealer to settle into the fine lines and also it gives flawless airbrushed look. This has become my go to concealer and pretty much using every single day.

There are so many shades for each skin tone to choose from. The packaging is very simple like any other concealer. It comes in as tube with a applicator which makes it easy to use and how much product to use is in your control.

I highly recommend this concealer to everyone if you are looking for a full coverage concealer as it totally worth every penny. Have you tried any other full coverage concealer? Which is your favorite concealer? I would love to know your thoughts. Thanks for reading!

L’Oreal Pure Clay Mask ( Detox & Brighten) | Review

I have started taking a lot more care when it comes to my skin and I make sure I use face mask at least twice in a week.  I have so many masks and I keep changing and using according to how my skin feels. One of my most recent favorite face masks is from L’Oréal. This Pure Clay (Detox & Brighten )mask from L’Oréal reminds of the expensive Glam Glow Super Mud Clearing Treatment. I have used Glam Glow in the past and wanted to try this from L’Oréal and test how it works for me.

I love Clay masks as they really extract the impurities out. I have been using this mask for quite a while now and I totally love it. This can be used by any skin type. I have dry skin but my T-zone area tends to get oily and there is lot of blackheads on my nose. The texture is thick and its easy to application. Before using this mask, I cleanse my face thoroughly and take a quite steam on my face to loosen up my blackheads and open up my pores. I don’t suffer from large pores but there are very teeny tiny ones so I like to pamper my skin before it gets worst. After a quick steam on my face, I apply a thin layer of this mask and leave for about 10-15 minutes or until it gets dry. Once this mask dries you can literally the mask pulling out oil and impurities. It leaves tiny dots on the areas where is skin is affected. It looks gross but also satisfying that the mask actually works.  Once washed you can feel your skin looks so smooth and clean. It removes all the oil and little blackheads present around my nose. Apply a good moisturiser to your face after this as it may tend to dry up your skin.

This mask is a powerful blend of 3 clays, Kaolin + Montmorillonite + Moroccan Lava Clays with Charcoal.  This mask draws out all the built up impurities, dirt and pollution and makes skin looks even, fresh and clean. Skin is healthy looking and feels more beautiful. This mask comes in a glass jar which a sturdy lid and you can easily get 10-15 use from one jar depending on how you like to use. The packaging looks luxurious to me.

I absolutely love this Detox and brighten mask from L’Oréal and planning to get their other two mask range from this line. I highly recommend this mask to everyone as it really works and makes your skin look so beautiful and clean and it is also very affordable when compared to Glam Glow Mask.

Have you used this mask before? Which is your favorite Clay mask? Thanks for reading :)!

Studio Gear Comestics | PRO T.L.S. Mascara, Gel Liner and Brush | Review

Studio Gear PRO T.L.S. Mascara, Gel Liner and Brush

I was more than thrilled when I got to try these products  from Studio Gear because I have heard some great reviews about their products.  Studio Gear Cosmetics had sent me their Mascara, Gel liner and a brush. Let’s start with their review!

IMPACTFULL PRO T.L.S. MASCARA:

I have never really tried many mascaras. My favorite has always been Maybelline Mascara’s and Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara and I swear by these but when I used Studio Gear Mascara I was totally amazed by the results. It added a nice volume making it look fuller without forming any clumps.  With two coats it adds a nice dramatic effect to your lashes without making it look like a spider web.  The best part was the wand size. It precise and sturdy which gives a nice application on both upper and lower lashes. The Mascara has collagen and other anti-oxidant properties which protects lashes. This mascara is perfect mix of voluminizing and lengthening. I have been using this religiously ever since I got it and total love it. The staying power is quite long lasting.

INVINCIBLE GEL LINER:

I got this in the shade Invincible Earth which is dark brown color and I was excited to try this color out as I have wanted to play with brown eyeliners.  The consistency of this gel liner was not creamy at all like other gel liners which I have used in past. It was kinda dry when I received. I thought maybe I got a bad one but then this was directly sent by Studio Gear. The Gel liner was little dry which made it difficult to apply as a liner but once applied, the shade looked beautiful. It works absolutely amazing as an eyeshadow base. I also tried this to fill in my brows and it worked amazing and this was a perfect shade for my brows. I totally loved this liner to fill in my brows and using as an eyeshadow base.

#31 INVINCIBLE EYELINER BRUSH:

I was so excited to play around with this brush. Its shaped kina angular and works great to fill in brows and for lower lash line. I found difficulty in applying the gel liner using this brush because the bristles were little soft and didn’t give a sharp winged look at the end. But never the less I love this brush and I am using it almost every single day. I have washed this brush so many times but still the bristles are intact and I am totally impressed with this brush.
