Review | Wet N Wild Comfort Zone Palette

Comfort Zone 1

Wet N wild Comfort Zone palette is one of the most raved among many beauty bloggers and you tubers. Wet N wild is known for its affordability and excellent pigmentation when it comes to your eye-shadow palettes. I haven’t used any other palettes from Wet N wild except for this Comfort Zone Palette and hands down this is my favorite palette ever. The price of this palette is a total steal.

Wet N Wild Comfort Zone Palette

This palette has 8 warm toned shades and labelled as guidelines (Brow bone, eyelid, crease, definer) but off course you don’t have to follow them.  The shades are mostly metallic, satin and shimmer. There are no matte shades in this but that’s totally okay for me. The left side of the palette has mostly golden toned eye-shadows and right side has mostly dark shades. All the shades are extremely pigmented, soft and buttery. A little goes long way so need to be careful while loading the shades on your brushes. It applies very smoothly and blends very easily. None of the shades are dry or chalky even though few darker shades have fallout. Overall, I love this palette because of this excellent quality of shades, pigmentation and affordability and has universally flattering  shades to create different looks. The swatches below are just one swipe and no primer.

Browbone is a warm beige with peachy undertones with a soft frosted finish. It’s great for highlighting your browbones and also inner corners of your eyes.

Eyelid is a rosy orange copper like color with soft satin metallic finish and this shade works very well on eyelid.

Crease is warm gold brown color and it a perfect shade for crease although I prefer matte shades on my crease. I like to use this on my outer corner of the eyes to create some definition and depth.

Definer is true chocolate brown with shimmer and is slightly darker than the crease shade. It’s a great shade to create a brown smokey eye and also great to use on your lower lash line.

Right Side:

Browbone is light pale champagne with gray undertones and it works well on browbone as well as inner corners. Also I like to use this on my entire eyelid for a simple look.

Eyelid is a beautiful light springy yellow green with soft metallic finish.  This shade works well if you want to go with a neutral green smokey eye.

Crease is a beautiful dark green brown with lots of shimmer. Although it’s labelled as a crease shade I really love using this on my entire eyelid or the outer corners of my eyes. Love this shade to create an intense smokey eye look.

Definer is a blue-green duochrome with soft frosted finish. This is the most unique shade in the palette.

My Review:
This palette includes 14 pans, with 10 eyeshadow pans (4 matte+ 6 metallic shimmer) and 4 highlighter pans. The shade selection is quite warm and gold bronzey shades, with a mix of matte and shimmer finishes. The packaging looks so sleek and beautiful with all white, grey and silver. You do get a mirror in the packaging. The palette feels slim, compact and sturdy for cardboard. The formula of these shadows is quite silky to the touch and blendable. I paid $12.5 for this palette and was fairly impressed with the quality in general.

All the swatches are without primer.Personally for me, the winner in this palette are the shimmer shades because I think they’re more rich and pigmented and also tend to be the shades that wear the best. The mattes are also quite nice and pigmented but you need to build the look to get more intensified look. I do find that these perform best with primer. Without primer, these applied nicely but did get a little chalky by the end of the day with some creasing. With primer, I got a vibrant look that really lasted throughout the day. The highlighter in this palette are super pigmented that little goes a long way.
I do have one problem with this palette though. While I like the shades that are included in this palette, I don’t like that three of the shades in the larger highlighter pans are incredibly similar to shades in the smaller eye shadow pans. I wish they could have curated with some rosy shimmer-matte shades and champagne shade but none the less this palette is gorgeous and you can create so many looks with it. You can’t go wrong with a neutral palette as it’s so versatile and will suit pretty much every single skin tone
Pros:
• Cruelty free
• Paraben free
• Highly pigmented
• Inexpensive
Cons:
• Couple of highlighter is similar to eye shadow
Price: $12.50 ( I guess now the price in BH cosmetics website is 14.50)
