The Summer Lipstick Colors

Summer Lips edit

Summer is about to end and slowly climate is changing and we are moving towards fall now. Fall season is known for all the dramatic eyes, bold lips, edgy and grudged look while summer you spot with all bright and colorful stuffs. I have jotted down my favorite lipsticks which I have been wearing a lot this summer.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream In Sao Paulo is one of my favorite pink colors. I always have a hard time finding a right pink shade for my skin tone and I love this lipstick shade and its formula from NYX. It compliments my skin very well and looks good with any eye makeup or no makeup. It instantly changes the whole look.

Maybelline Creamy Matte In Craving Coral is a beautiful red-orange lipstick and I love this shade. Its universal flattering and I thoroughly enjoyed spotting this every week. It’s a perfect coral color which looks absolutely stunning.

Lakme 9 to 5 In Red Coat is a gorgeous red shade and I loved wearing it for night-outs. If you love red lipsticks and don’t want to splurge on high-end then this is definitely a must try. It’s also a perfect dupe for MAC Ruby Woo.

With all the red, coral and pink lipsticks I always like to wear a nude lipstick. Be it summer, fall, winter or spring, you can never go wrong with nude lips. One of my favorite nude lipsticks is from NYX Liquid Suede In Softspoken. It’s a perfect nude lipstick for my skin tone (MAC NC40) and it’s neither drying nor streaky. It stays good for more than 5 hours.

Summer Colors

So, these are some of the lipsticks I enjoyed wearing a lot lately and now looking forward to burgundy/berry/dark brown lips!!

What’s In My Travel Makeup Bag

Hey Guys!!

Sorry for being MIA but now I am back from my vacation. I went to Las Vegas for the July long weekend and it was 5 day trip and we had a blast.

I thought it would be a good idea to write this post so you can see what I decided to take with me on my trip. I always struggle to figure out what makeup items to bring with me when I go away because I never want to over pack but then again you don’t want to forget anything important. Can you really blame a girl for having too many options? I get tentative when traveling. Is it just me or can you relate?

Keep reading if you want to see what I carried with me in my travel makeup bag!

FACE:

MAC Prep+Prime: I like to carry samples while travelling as it becomes so easy to carry and travel with. This base visage is my favorite from MAC.

MAC Studio fix fluid foundation: This foundation is one of the best and I have been using this for years now and I swear by it. Also it has SPF 15 which is effective for summers.

MAC Pressed Powder: To set my base I carried this powder as it gives even coverage and flawless look.

NYX Dark Circle Concealer: It comes in a small jar and its really works good as  a corrector for my undereyes. For full review click here

LA Girl Concealer: I carried this in Pure Beige and Beautiful Bronze for highlighting and contouring. For full click here

Rimmel Natural Bronzer: To set my contour I love using this to give a completed and flawless contoured look. For full review click here

ELF Blush Palette: This is my favorite blush palette. A little goes a long way and these are so pigmented and they stay throughout the day. Love this !!

Urban Decay Setting Spray:  Just recently I have started using this and I swear makeup stays longer with this spray. This is a travel size so it’s even easier to travel and also you can just throw in your handbag and carry all day long by spritzing on your face whenever needed.

Real Techniques Miracle Sponge: This is my favorite method to apply my foundation. I love using this RT sponge. It gives an air brush finish.

For Eyes:

Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance: Again this a travel size and I love this eyeshadow base. Colors blend in very easily and creates a good canvas on your eyes.

Carli Bybel BH Cosmetics Palette: This palette is amazing and it has nice warm neutral colors and some nice metallic eyeshadows  so I decide to carry only this palette. Also it has highlighters so it’s like all in one palette. This palette is sturdy and very travel friendly. For full review click here

NYC Black Liquid Liner: This is my favorite drugstore eyeliner and its super black and matte.

Wet N Wild Eye Pencil: I carried with me in the nude shade for my waterline and this makes my eyes look bigger and awake. It’s super cheap and I highly recommend this.

ELF Eyebrow Kit: I am really not a brow person because I kinda got thick and fuller eyebrows so just to fill the little gaps I like using this small palette.

ELF Eyelash Curler: Curler is very important before applying any mascara and I love this curler because it does the job and it’s so inexpensive.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara: First of all, I love how this mascara looks. Its so pretty and it gives amazing look to my lashes.

Ardell Lashes with Duo Glue: A falsies can instantly change your entire look so don’t forget to carry this.

Stila Liquid Lipstick

Details:

The original power pout! Stila’s Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick delivers long-lasting color with a lightweight, super comfortable feel and matte finish that stays in place for up to 6 hours of continuous wear, and never leaves lips feeling dry.

  • 6 hours of budge-proof, feather-proof and transfer-proof wear with volatile polymers that promote long-wear
  • Vitamin E and avocado oil keep lips soft and hydrated
  • Comfortable, weightless color
  • Unique doe-foot applicator wand allows for perfect application

My Verdict:

GOODNESSSS! I so love this liquid lipstick! My skin tone is medium and I love how dark the Bacca liquid lipstick looks on me. Because this shade is so dark, I believe it would look good on anyone. What I do first is line my lips and lightly go over my whole lips with the lip liner. I do this to avoid the liquid lipstick from settling into my fine lines. This is pretty much inescapable because ALL matte liquid lipsticks do settle in your lines. I see that this trick does help a little bit. Then, I just apply the product all over my lips. The texture is very creamy and smooth. The color is very pigmented and opaque. There were no patchy areas. The color did dry a little darker than what is on the tube, but that’s expected as well. The longevity is literally all day. I have tried many liquid lipsticks, both high end and low, but this has got to be the BEST ONE I’ve tried so far. Even after 10 hours of wearing this puppy, it still didn’t feel as dry as the other brands that I’ve tried. With the other brands, I just want to scratch my lips off after 10 hours, but this one was pretty comfortable throughout the whole day. This is by far my all-time favorite lipstick and I am obsessed with the way it goes on liquid and dries matte finish-all without drying your lips. Once it dries you can touch your lips and it won’t stain or rub off either. I am not exaggerating when I say this is the most long-lasting lipstick I have ever tried. Take care when you apply because once it sets, it’s not budging!

This product is a bit pricy, but it is totally worth it. So I will end up buying other shades in this range.

Shade: Bacca

Pros:

  • Long Lasting
  • Smooth Application
  • Comfortable Formula
  • Budge Proof

Cons:

  • Expensive

Price: I got from Sephora for $24.00
