Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette | Review

I generally don’t stock many eye shadow palettes as I am not a makeup artist and don’t do heavy eye makeup on everyday basis and I have couple of great palettes which are my personal favorite and I use them every time and love them. You can read about them here and here. When I read and saw so much hype about Anastasia Modern Renaissance palette I was not convinced to get due to price and color range because I have similar shades from other palettes. But during the end of the year when Sephora sent me a $20 coupon I knew what I had to purchase and hence got this palette. This palette is originally priced at $42 but I got it for $22.

I am probably the last one to get this palette and now I know why people kept talking about it so much. This palette has beautiful shade selection which will suit all skin tones especially medium skin tones since it has some wonderful transition shade. The palette has mix of metallic and matte shades but more of matte. The texture is so smooth and buttery. It blends into skin so effortlessly and it has very high pigmentation. I recommend dabbing off excess while taking the eyeshadow but even if you end up applying more eyeshadow blending can be so easy and gives a smooth finish. There are beautiful shades and so many looks can be created using this palette, however I wish there was a matte black in this palette.

The packaging comes in a sturdy cardboard box and lid is like mauve pink color with velvet finish. The packaging look super cute but it can look dirty after sometime but that doesn’t matter since the inside stuff is to die for!! The palette comes with a double sided brush. Not a big fan of the brush though !!

You get 14 shades in total.

Tempera is a vanilla shade with a matte finish

Golden Ochre is an earthy yellow with a matte finish

Vermeer is an iridescent shell with a metallic finish

Buon Fresco is an antique lavender with an matte finish

Antique Bronze is a metallic bronze with a satin finish

Love Letter is a raspberry with a matte finish

Cyprus Umber is a coffee shade

Raw Sienna is a neutral amber with a matte finish

Burnt Orange is a deep orange with a matte finish

Primavera is a shimmery gold with a matte finish

Red Ochre is a sienna with a matte finish

Venetian Red is a crimson with a matte finish

Warm Taupe is an earthy gray with matte finish

Realgar is an orange brick with a matte finish.

I know by now every single person own this but still I highly recommend this palette to everyone who are still considering to buy. This is a great buy and totally worth the money.

Pond’s Cold Cream Cleanser | Review

Pond's Cold Cream Cleanser

Removing all the makeup before going to bed is something I do religiously without being lazy. Removing makeup after a long tiring day can sometimes be the last thing we want to do or just skip overall but it’s so important to remove makeup before you hit your bed. I personally love Garnier Micellar Water which removes my makeup easily until I found this oldie. Pond’s has been in skincare industry for ages and these days we totally forget about the old brand and some of their real good products since we always look out to try new products. I totally forgot about Pond’s until recently when my mom suggested me to try their cleanser which is great for removing makeup and keeping your skin moisturized. Thanks to you mom for suggesting this product and I absolutely love it.

Pond's Cold Cream Cleanser

A Cold Cream Cleanser is a heavy duty greasy feeling cleanser which is great for removing makeup and cleansing your skin at the same. These types of cleansers are great for dry skin throughout the year and suitable for all skin types during the winters. The texture of this cleanser is thick and mousse like. It is stated that this is 50% cleanser and 50% moisturizer which cleanses and moisturizes the skin at the same time and I truly believe this. The way I like to use is apply this product on the face and gently massage all over my face and eye area. I like to massage for few mins as massaging helps in improving blood circulation and also clears complexion. After a good massage I take a cotton pad and wipe all over my face. All my makeup and dirt is removed leaving my skin look clean. Wash you face to avoid greasy feeling. I love using this even when I don’t wear any makeup or when I am doing a at home facial just as a cleanser and massage for quite some time on my skin because my skin feels firmer and clearer.

Pond's Cold Cream Cleanser

This removes all the stubborn mascara and liquid lipstick very easily. I don’t have to rub cotton dipped in makeup removers and rub so many times on my eyes to get away with the makeup and the mascara. Sometimes when I am just too lazy to do a night routine I just use this cleanser to remove makeup. This cleanser is so heavy that my skin feels so moisturized with just using this.

I would highly recommend you all to try this product. You don’t have to use so many different wipes or makeup removers to remove your makeup. This one does the entire job and it’s so affordable. You get 6 oz of product for less than $5.

Derma E Hydrating Day & Night Cream | Review

derma-e

Who is not concerned with it comes to your skin? Everyone wants a good moisturizer to start and end their day. Keeping your skin healthy and glowy is so important to achieve a perfect smooth canvas.  Derma E was very kind to send me their day and night cream to test out and I totally love the results.

Over the past week, I have been using this day and night cream religiously every single day. I have very dry skin and I always look out for creams which give hydration to skin and also nourishes. Derma E day cream does this job perfectly. Once I apply this moisturizer, the whole day I don’t experience any dryness on my face or around my nose area. It keeps my skin looking radiant and also I love using prior to my makeup as it gives a smooth base without any dryness. The texture of this day cream is whipped cream like and sinks into your skin easily giving you a clean, smooth and dewy looking skin.

derma-cream

Talking about this night cream, it’s a lightweight cream which moisturizes your skin amazingly well. The texture is same as day cream and instantly gets absorbed in the skin leaving your skin with silky finish and proper hydration. A little cream goes long way and the next morning you wake up with a radiant and plumpy looking skin. Night times are best to give your skin additional nourishment which gets lost during the day time and this cream does the perfect job. I love how my skin feels and looks the next morning. Isn’t always nice to see your skin glowy and looking healthy after you get up?? I love that feeling!!

These creams contain anti-ageing oxidants such as green tea, vitamin A and C, aloe vera which are extremely nourishing for skin and also soothes the skin. Talking about packaging, this come in glass tub which a tight lid. These are 100% vegan, cruelty-free, paraben free, gluten free and GMO free. However these creams have a fragrance in them which is not so appealing to me but disappears soon after application

I have been using both these day and night cream for just over a week now and so far I am totally satisfied with the results. I am adding these in my daily skincare routine and see how my skin changes for better.

Minimal Fall Everyday Fall Look

img_3329

We are officially in Fall now and I love how days getting pleasant an nights colder. What I love about Fall is those Cosy clothes, boots, trench coats, dark lips, pumpkin lattes and much more.

So, I thought I would share my everyday Fall look with you all.

For Face:

I always like to reach out for the foundations which won’t disappoint me an one of them being MAC Studio Fix FLuid Foundation SPF 15. It’s my favorite foundation and I love the coverage and the formula. It makes my skin look flawless without looking cakey. For concealer, I like to use LA Girl Pro HD Concealer  as it gives me full coverage by hiding those dark circles. For blush I always reach out for ELF Blush Palette  as it looks so natural on my skin. I don’t like to contour everyday day so I totally skip it or just use a Rimmel Natural Bronzer to add some definition to my face. Lastly, for highlighter I like NYX Illuminator as it gives a natural glowy look and I build it up if I want an intense highlighter look.

For Eyes:

For my eyes, I like to keep it very simple by just doing winged eyeliner and currently I love using NYC Liquid Liner as its super affordable and matte jet black and add lots of mascara on upper and lower lashes and my all-time favorite mascara is Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara.

For Lips:

No doubt I totally love wearing dark lips and one of my favorite is Ofra Liquid Lipstick in the shade ‘Mina’ which is nice dark burgundy shade and appropriate for this season. I love how smooth it glides and dries up matte without making my lips uncomfortable and also it’s long lasting and stays for good 5-6 hours.

What kind of look you like to spot during this season? Have you tried any of these products before? Thanks for reading!

MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation SPF 15 | Review

MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation

Foundations are one thing I am concerned about because they can be your best friend or worst enemy. Choosing right shade and right foundation can give you a flawless base with dreamy glow or matte finish which you like and when picked a wrong foundation can totally make your face look disaster.

I don’t own 20 foundations knowing my drawers but I have couple of foundation from both drugstore and high end which I always reach out and they don’t disappoint me at all. One of those foundations is MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation (I am in the shade NC 40) which is my go-to foundation. For those of you that are not familiar with MAC colors, NC stands for those with warmer or more yellow undertones while NW which stands for cooler pink undertones.

It’s a medium to full coverage foundation and totally buildable without making your face look cakey. It gives such a flawless base and hides those dark spots and evens out my skin tone which is really cool. It doesn’t feel heavy and gives a nice semi-matte finish leaving your skin with little glow. I have dry skin and this works like a magic on me because I have heard that this foundation doesn’t suit dry skin people but definitely worked out for me so I suggest dry skin people to give it a try. The formula is semi-thick fluid but easily blendable with a sponge or any foundation brush. It lasts for more than 6 hours and with a good primer the foundation is in place throughout the day. One thing which I don’t like is the packaging. There is no dispenser or a pump. It comes in a glass bottle with a black screw tight cap and while taking foundation out it can be a bit messy but you get used to it. It comes with a SPF 15 which is good when used during day time to protect you skin while slaying a flawless base.

I highly recommend to all skin types and you will definitely not regret this.
